An estate agents' workspace presents a curious mixture of demands - essentially a regular working office but open to full public view; part office, part retail, part consulting room, part showcase. For Hamptons, we zoned their offices to separate the different functions and adopted a characteristic treatment of their brand colours for surface treatments.

As with many estate agents groups, Lane Fox's wide variety of office premises presented the main challenge of creating a unifying interior look. The key therefore, was to establish a small palette of distinctive textures which could be applied in different ways to suit individual offices.

When our client Lane Fox was acquired by Strutt & Parker, the newly enlarged company faced the problem of inconsistency, between closely located high profile offices in central London. Our immediate solution was to apply the strong texture palette developed Lane Fox offices with a change of colour-way.

Not all our estate agency clients are large groups. Some are established specialists in specific locations with only a few offices. This therefore allows far greater scope for an individual, site-specific interior, such as our Kensington & Chelsea based client, Farrar.

Our task was to embrace the operational styles of the different agencies and to develop a signature palette to apply to a broad mix office premises.

First-time wearers of contact lenses need time to learn how to insert and remove them and to understand the hygiene principles. Recognising this can be an anxious time for the customer, Vision Express commissioned a dedicated 'teach' area in the flagship Oxford Street store in London. Here staff are able to instruct and assist customers in a relaxed private setting.
